From Downtown, take I-70 west to exit 259, turn left at the bottom of the Morrison exit ramp, cruise on downhill 1.5 miles to the Red Rocks Park entrance. Coming from south Denver, take C-470 to the Morrison exit, turn west and follow the signs to the Park entrances. Here’s a tip to avoid some traffic: you can also exit C-470 at Highway 285. Take it west to Highway 8 and then head north to the Amphitheatre!

Hours of Operations

Park Hours
Red Rocks Park and trails open one hour before sunrise and close one hour after sunset on non-show days. In the event of a performance the amphitheatre and Visitor Center will generally close to the public in the early afternoon hours.

Event days: One hour before sunrise – house closes (this time varies day-to-day)

On concert dates, the Visitor Center and Amphitheatre generally close after lunch for sound checks and other technical work. From time to time, a concert set-up might require an earlier closure time. Occasionally there will be a show with an early afternoon start time, and that will require an early closure. Generally you can visit during morning hours without a problem. House closure times are not determined until the week of an event and can change at any time.

Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats will headline the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre on August 21, one year after the release of their critically acclaimed self-titled debut. Presented by KBCO and KTCL, the special hometown show will feature Shovels & Rope and further special guests, who have yet to be announced. General on-sale begins Friday, December 11 at 10 A.M. MST.

Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats—Nathaniel Rateliff (vocals, guitar), Joseph Pope III (bass), Patrick Meese (drums), Luke Mossman (guitar), Mark Shusterman (keys), Wesley Watkins (trumpet) and Andy Wild (saxophone)—continue to celebrate a breakout year. Most recently, they taped an episode of PBS’ long-running music series “Austin City Limits” (to air next year), were featured on NPR Music’s “Tiny Desk Concert,” and Paste included Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats as one of their “Top 50 Albums of 2015.”
