1st Annual HOWLaween Ball.   Come “Eat, Drink and Be Scary” costume party for “21 & over” with cash bar, free appetizers, dancing, prizes for best costumes and a huge Silent Auction. All proceeds will benefit 4 local animal non-profits: LAPS, Swan Center Outreach, Animal Rescue of the Rockies and Far View Horse Rescue and was made possible by the generosity of the Town of Silverthorne and many local businesses.   Even though this event benefits animals, this is a “No Pet” event

All proceeds will be equally divided amongst the 4 animal non-profits to fund their programs of financial aid for spay/neuter and medical/surgical vet procedures, for the rescue, foster care and adoption of needy dogs, cats and horses and the physical and emotional rehabilitation of these wonderful animals that are then partners in various therapy programs to help people.

Tickets are $13 pre-sale and $18 at the door.

First Tracks: Olympic US Alpine Team Naming @ Copper Mountain

Join us for the Road to Sochi and catch the Olympic fever with Copper and the US Ski Team. A full day of music and entertainment, this is your chance to meet the U.S. Ski Team.

Before the U.S. Ski Team heads to the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi Russia, they’re headed to Copper Mountain and they’re throwing a party! Copper will host the U.S. Alpine Ski Team Naming Friday, Nov. 8. Get up close and personal with Olympians including Ted Ligety, Bode Miller, Lindsey Vonn and Mikaela Shiffrin. As part of this all-American Pep rally, there will be a concert by The Swon Brothers, runners up on NBC’s The Voice. The event is free to public, includes photo opportunities with athletes and you can watch all of the athletes train.  Have a season pass to one of those other mountains? Dog lovers bring your dog or just come watch these wonderful animals as they parade down Main Street to kick off the lighting of Breck. 70 + dogs will lead the procession from the Red White & Blue Fire Dept. down Main St. to the Blue River Plaza. Event starts at 4:30 cookies & cocoa w/ the parade starting at 5:15. Festive holiday apparel for both humans & dogs is encouraged! Go Breck.com

SYRCL Wild and Scenic Film (5:00 p.m – 9:00 p.m.) – High Country Conservation Center and Continental Divide Land Trust are partnering to bring the film festival to Breckenridge. HCCC and CDLT share complementary missions of resource and land conservation. We are excited to come together to bring the community thought-provoking and beautiful films to inspire involvement and action. Breckenridge Riverwalk Center, 150 West Adams Ave. $15.00

Ullr Parade (4:30 p.m.) – The centerpiece of the week, the Ullr Fest parade showcases Breckenridge’s wild winter fun. Main Street Breckenridge. Don’t miss the World Record Shot Ski Attempt at 4:00 just prior to the parade (click here to sign up for the shot ski). Register for the Parade HERE

Ullr Bonfire (5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.) – Join us for the town bonfire.  Christmas trees are welcome! South Gondola Parking Lot. FREE

2nd Annual Ullr Classic Pond Hockey Tournament (9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.) – Close out the week with a pond hockey tournament held at the Gold Run Nordic Center, 200 Club House Drive.  Register online  $150 per team and FREE for spectators.
