DJ Bob Bridges
I was born and raised in the great state of New Jersey about 30 miles from New York City. I became a huge music fan at an early age. My first concerts included The Kinks, Cheap Trick, Pat Benatar and Def Leppard.
I became a track star in high school and decided to attend Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I studied Broadcast Communication at Marquette as well as running track and playing bass guitar in a local hard rock band.
After graduating from Marquette, I moved to the mountains of Colorado. My radio career started in Vail at a soft rock station called KLITE.
I took a year off from radio and ran a bed and breakfast in Wolcott, CO.
I returned to radio in 1998 on the Eagle, Classic Rock of the Rockies in Avon. In 2000, I started dj'ing at the famous Club Chelsea in Vail. I became a wedding DJ in 2001 and have been having a blast ever since, dj'ing wedding all over Colorado.
In 2006, I moved to Summit County and transferred to KCMV in Breckenridge.
I met a wonderful woman in 2007 and we got married on May 24, 2009 in Dillon.
I love the Lift FM! Some of my favorite artists that we play are Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Madonna, Michelle Branch and John Mayer.
I wouldn’t say that it’s so easy to describe myself over a cup of coffee or simply to say the girl next door. The Fox, born and raised in the best town ever, Ann Arbor, Michigan. I graduated from Western Michigan University and also studied abroad in London, England. I came out West to visit a friend and got sucked in the vortex of what we call Summit County for 12 years strong.
I’ve had many hats worn so to speak while working here in Summit County. A few that come to mind would be Program Director, Production Director, Operations Manager, Director of an audiovisual organization, Emcee, Band Liaison, Waitress, toilet scrubber, “Tell it like it is” Director and a Kickass friend supporter.
Music is a POWER. I love music. It’s what keeps me going when having a bad day, keeps me smiling when shreddin and its what you hear in the background when you just got off work and hanging with your friends BS’n about what happened that night as you sling back a few. Music makes everything better! So if I can make your day better then I’m all for it!
Question I get asked the most: People ask me all the time why are you called The Fox? It’s my last name! I love my name so I wear it proud! So no, I don’t think that I’m a Fox and call myself that! Come on man! Really?
Things that bother me: People that don’t listen, getting asked the same question over and over again and people that slack in their jobs. If I’m working with you and you’re on my team you best be working just as hard as I am. Nuff said!
What’s my poison? Vodka. Preferably Dan Aykroyd’s in a crystal skull.
Best concert Venue: Summit Music Hall if were talking about Colorado…I like Statebridge as well.
Favorite hangout: Doesn’t really matter where I am as long as I’m with good friends.
Favorite Movie: Army of Darkness, “First you wanna kill me, now you wanna kiss me. Blow.”
