JERRY GARCIA SYMPHONIC CELEBRATION @ Red Rocks Amphitheatre
Aug 1 @ 7:30 pm

AEG Live is excited to announce the JERRY GARCIA SYMPHONIC CELEBRATION feat. WARREN HAYNES AND THE COLORADO SYMPHONY live at Red Rocks Amphitheatre Monday, August 1, 2016.

PURCHASE TICKETS!

This ground-breaking orchestral program – curated by the Garcia Family – features Garcia’s original compositions, as well as classic interpretations of his timeless standards that were hallmarks of Garcia and the Grateful Dead’s shows. Collaborating with a full symphony orchestra, renowned vocalist/guitarist Warren Haynes (Allman Brothers Band, Gov’t Mule, The Dead) lends his soul-soaked, introspective blend of rock, blues, R&B and jazz to Garcia’s masterworks.

“I’m very excited about doing these shows. We’ve chosen a very diverse list of songs from the extensive Jerry Garcia related catalog and in the true spirit of the original music we’ll be leaving room for improvisation and approaching the symphonic arrangements from a non-traditional direction. We are also going to vary the setlists to some extent for fans that want to attend multiple shows,” says Haynes, who brings an intimate knowledge of the material, having performed extensively with The Dead and Phil Lesh & Friends.

“The rhythm section will consist of Jeff Sipe on drums, who – aside from being an old friend – has worked a lot with Phil Lesh and Friends and was an original member of the Aquarium Rescue Unit, and bassist Lincoln Schleifer, who was in the Warren Haynes Band in the early 90’s and who has worked with such artists as Donald Fagen and, most recently, Levon Helm,” notes Haynes.

PURCHASE TICKETS ONLINE AT AXS.COM OR CHARGE TICKETS BY PHONE, CALL 888.929.7849. Tickets to this show are available at the box office of the Denver Coliseum from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. every Saturday.

On Friday, August 5, 2016, Tedeschi Trucks Band celebrates their fifth consecutive year headlining and 2nd year presenting their Wheels of Soul Review at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre! The band’s history at Red Rocks is rich with a rotating roster of incredibly talented artists including BB King in 2012, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals in 2013, and Gary Clark Jr. in 2014. In 2015, TTB created the Wheels of Soul Tour that then featured Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings and Doyle Bramhall II.
