COMMUNITY: Kids | Cops | Hoops

Beginning November 1st, the Avon Police Department will be hosting the sixth annual Kids, Cops, and Hoops program at Avon Elementary School for 4th through 12th grade students. It will run every Tuesday night from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The program will continue into early spring 2017.

This program offers a great opportunity for our community youth to meet and interact with Avon police officers in a fun and positive atmosphere. Kids, Cops and Hoops helps to foster relationships between law enforcement and youth and aids in future success of crime prevention. Last year, 15 to 20 students participated in the basketball program each week.  There is no registration required to participate, just arrive with a parent or guardian the first night you join us.

The officers at the Avon Police Department look forward to a fun and energetic program!  See you at the gym!
