Know Your Trees

Expand Event Info: Join us for hour-long walks around the Hallam Lake neighborhood to identify local trees. Depending on the day, your guide may be Naturalist Program Director Jim Kravitz or Forest Program Director Jamie Werner. Participants receive The Rocky Mountain Tree Finder booklet and basic knowledge about the native trees that grow around you.

There will be no Know Your Trees program on Monday, July 4th.

Wild Yoga

Expand Event Info: Join ACES Education Director Arin Trook and rotating Aspen Yoga Society guest instructors, including founder Gina Murdock, for an all-levels outdoor yoga practice! Classes are held on the teaching platforms on the Hallam Lake nature preserve, amidst willows, aspen and cottonwood trees, swooping songbirds, and if you’re lucky the occasional wildlife!

In case of rain we’ll move indoors. Please bring your own mat and come on time, doors will close at 5:20. $10 suggested donation, proceeds support ACES environmental science education programs.
