Four latter-era Dio<\/a> albums will be reissued next year with previously unreleased recordings.<\/p>\n

Beginning with 1996\u2019s Angry Machines \u2014<\/em>  including 2000\u2019s Magica<\/em> and 2002\u2019s Killing the Dragon \u2014<\/em> and ending with 2004\u2019s Master of the Moon<\/em>, each release will feature remastered audio and a bonus disc of rare content. In addition to CD re-releases, each will be available for the first time as standalone vinyl releases with lenticular covers; the Magica<\/em> vinyl will include a seven-inch of \u201cElectra,\u201d which the band\u2019s late frontman, Ronnie James Dio<\/a>, had planned for the sequel Magica 2<\/em>. Each of the reissues will be available via BMG on physical media and digitally on February 21st.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am very excited to be working with BMG, a label that still has a passion for rock music,\u201d the singer\u2019s widow, Wendy, said in a statement. \u201cThey will be making the complete Dio catalogue available again with some interesting surprises.\u201d<\/p>\n

The CD versions, which feature the bonus material, will come in \u201cmediabook packaging.\u201d The second disc for Angry Machines<\/em> will include 12 tracks recorded on the tour for that album in 1997. Magica<\/em> contains live recordings from the 2001 tour in support of that album, as well as \u201cElectra\u201d and an 18-minute, spoken-word recording called \u201cMagica Story.\u201d<\/p>\n

Killing the Dragon<\/em> includes five recordings from 2002 and 2003. And Master of the Moon <\/em>features four live tracks, recorded in 2004 and 2005, and the previously unreleased studio track \u201cPrisoner of Paradise.\u201d All of the bonus material will be included in the digital releases.<\/p>\n

In 2015 \u2014the year Tenacious D won the metal Grammy for a cover of Dio\u2019s \u201cThe Last in Line\u201d \u2014 actor and Dio fanatic Jack Black paid his respects to Ronnie James Dio in an interview with Rolling Stone<\/a><\/em>. \u201cIn this age of electronic music and robotic voice synthesizers, I hope there is a kid out there with the talent and the sense of adventure to follow in Dio\u2019s footsteps,\u201d he said. \u201cRock & roll could use another Ronnie James Dio right about now.\u201d<\/p>\n
