Hill delivers a mesmerizing vocal performance that finds her embracing love on her quest for self-actualization, singing, \u201cWhat a tragedy, you can laugh at me\/You can laugh at me\/But I\u2019m in love\/ Yes, I\u2019m in love.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cGuarding the Gates\u201d marks Hill\u2019s first solo song since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/lauryn-hill-dedicates-black-rage-song-to-ferguson-80793\/\">2014\u2019s \u201cBlack Rage.\u201d<\/a> Her first and so-far-only solo album remains 1998\u2019s <i>The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Along with Hill, the<i> Queen &amp; Slim<\/i> soundtrack features music from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/megan-thee-stallion-vickeelo-ride-or-die-903658\/\">Megan Thee Stallion<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/vince-staples-6lack-new-song-yo-love-911060\/\">Vince Staples<\/a>, Lil Baby, Syd, Burna Boy, Blood Orange, Moses Sumney and more.
