Harry Styles<\/a> was the host and musical guest<\/a> on Saturday Night Live<\/a><\/em> this past weekend, and a sketch where he appeared as a social media manager for Sara Lee Bread quickly went viral.<\/p>\n

In the sketch, Styles is in a meeting with his bosses \u2014 played by Cecily Strong and Bowen Yang (who also co-wrote the sketch) \u2014 who inform him that he\u2019s been mixing up his personal Instagram account with that of Sara Lee\u2019s. They then walk through Styles\u2019 various fumbles, including thirsty comments written with the Sara Lee account (\u201cWreck me daddy\u201d and \u201cDestroy me king,\u201d left on a Nick Jonas photo) and angsty captions on the brand\u2019s posts.<\/p>\n

\u201cFeeling really depressed after threesome,\u201d reads one. \u201cWhat was supposed to be a fantasy ended up more rejection. Must get rid of toxic in community.\u201d<\/p>\n

Considering that Styles\u2019 next album is supposed to be all about \u201chaving sex and feeling sad,\u201d<\/a> these scripted captions do play hilariously, if hyperbolically, into the singer\u2019s brand. The sketch got #SaraLee to trend on Twitter, and Styles fans flooded the brand\u2019s actual Instagram account with references to the scene.<\/p>\n

Sara Lee\u2019s parent company, Bimbo Bakeries USA, responded to the sketch in a New York Post<\/em> article<\/a>. \u201cWe didn\u2019t participate in creating the skit and its content doesn\u2019t align with Sara Lee Bread\u2019s brand. But, we all know SNL pushes the envelope for laughs and we are taking it in stride.\u201d<\/p>\n
