Coldplay<\/a> have released two new songs from their upcoming double album Everyday Life<\/em>. One song, \u201cDaddy,\u201d is accompanied by an animated music video<\/a> from Aardman Studios directed by \u00c5sa Lucander, while the other, \u201cChampion of the World,\u201d comes with a stylized lyric video.<\/p>\n

The \u201cDaddy\u201d clip was created through a combination of \u201clive action puppetry, digitally painted sets and 2D animation,\u201d according to a press release.<\/p>\n

\u201cI knew when I had the opportunity to pitch on this project that it was going to be a very special one,\u201d Lucander said of the video. \u201cA few minutes into listening to the track \u2018Daddy,\u2019 it spoke to me in a way that stories and visual images began to dance in front of me. And when this happens you know that you are on to something very special indeed. I tend to get drawn to emotional stories and this was certainly one I wanted to tell.\u201d<\/p>\n
