Finish the songs that we started,&#8217;\u201d Leonard\u2019s son Adam says in <em>The Story of Thanks For the Dance<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The posthumous album features vocal recordings Cohen made prior to his 2016 death \u2014 including some leftover material from <em>You Want It Darker<\/em> \u2014 alongside guests like Beck, Leslie Feist, Damien Rice, Daniel Lanois, members of Death Cab for Cutie and Arcade Fire and more.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cAt the time [Cohen] sang these, he knew we wouldn\u2019t be very alive for very long,\u201d Feist says in the mini-doc. \u201cAnd with all of that lifetime of truth-telling, soothsaying, he presents these new ideas that are very much about living and not about dying.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Adam Cohen said of the album\u2019s title, \u201cThanks for the dance of life. Thanks for the highs, the lows, the sweetness, the bitterness, the tragedy, the comedy, the beauty, the sourness, the lightness\u2026 it\u2019s what he would have called it.
