But it\u2019s now possible!<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, a video message from McGrath posted to the personalized messaging app Cameo and delivered on behalf of a woman to her boyfriend went viral on Twitter. But she\u2019s having difficulty staying in this long-distance relationship.\u201d McGrath showed empathy for the couple, saying that being on the road touring has always been a difficult part of his own marriage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe still wants to be friends with you, and she wants you to know, good luck on your thesis coming up \u2014 probably not the best timing, Cheyenne, when he\u2019s doing his thesis, but I understand!\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Cameo confirmed to <em>Rolling Stone<\/em> that the video did indeed come from the app, where it was created for a private party. It\u2019s unclear how the video made it to Twitter. Monday, McGrath <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mark_mcgrath\/status\/1199084627266134016\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">tweeted to a fan<\/a> praising the video, \u201cAlso doing real ones for the holidays my brother!\u201d Cameo was not able to tell <em>Rolling Stone<\/em> what the musician meant by \u201creal ones.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cameo surfaced a few years ago as a \u201cpersonalized messaging\u201d app where users could request celebrities to deliver video messages for a fee.
