The Weeknd<\/a> returns with new song \u201cHeartless.\u201d It\u2019s his first new solo music since he released his EP, My Dear Melancholy<\/em><\/a>, in March 2018.<\/p>\n

On the new track, Abel Tesfaye, aka the Weeknd<\/a>, sings about searching for deeper meaning and \u201ctrying to find the one that can fix me,\u201d but flings and drugs continue to leave him numb. \u201c\u2018Cause I\u2019m heartless\/And I\u2019m back to my ways \u2019cause I\u2019m heartless,\u201d he sings on the atmospheric R&B-tipped track. \u201cAll this money and this pain\u2019s got me heartless\u2026 Said I\u2019m heartless, tryin\u2019 to be a better man, but I\u2019m heartless.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Weeknd began teasing the release of new material earlier this week, tweeting on Monday<\/a> that \u201cthe fall begins tomorrow\u201d and then announcing, \u201cTonight we start a brain melting psychotic chapter let\u2019s go\u201d on Tuesday<\/a>. Both posts were accompanied by black-and-white photos, which feature what appear to be the singer captured in blurry movement.<\/p>\n

A snippet of another new song, \u201cBlinding Lights,\u201d appears in a Mercedes-Benz advertisement, which was unveiled earlier on Tuesday. He appears in the clip, which also teases that a full Mercedes-Benz film featuring the Weeknd will be available beginning November 29th.<\/p>\n
