This week, Crow appeared on <em>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/ellen-degeneres\/\" id=\"auto-tag_ellen-degeneres\" data-tag=\"ellen-degeneres\">Ellen Degeneres<\/a> Show <\/em>to perform a cut from the record, \u201cProve You Wrong,\u201d with none other than <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/stevie-nicks\/\">Stevie Nicks<\/a> as her vocal partner and tambourine player.<\/p>\n<p>Afterwards, Ellen came up on stage and congratulated Nicks for being <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/stevie-nicks-rock-and-roll-hall-of-fame-2019-814259\/\">the first woman to be inducted into the Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame twice<\/a> \u2014 first as a member of Fleetwood Mac, and then as a solo artist. The talk show host then asked Crow why she had chosen to make <em>Threads<\/em> her final record.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve grown up with records, I pored over <em>Rumours<\/em> and Fleetwood Mac as well as James Taylor and Carole King,\u201d Crow said. \u201cThese were the records that made me want to do what I\u2019m doing. But people don\u2019t listen to records anymore. You can go in and spend a ton of money and spend your whole life making a full story, and then people just cherry-pick and playlists \u2014 which is not a bad thing, but I now love the idea of just putting out music if I have something to say. And don\u2019t we all have something to say right now?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Crow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-country\/2019-cma-awards-sheryl-crow-dierks-bentley-bobby-mcgee-911453\/\">performed at this year\u2019s CMAs<\/a>, playing a cover of \u201cMe and Bobby McGee\u201d with Dierks Bentley to honor Kris Kristofferson.
