Having her own children\u2019s clothing line<\/a> \u2014 and Rolling Stone\u2019s #2 album<\/a> of the year \u2014 apparently isn\u2019t enough creative control for Billie Eilish<\/a>: The fiercely inventive artist has directed the video for \u201cXanny.\u201d The song comes from her much-lauded 2019 album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m very excited to share my directorial debut,\u201d Eilish said in a statement. \u201cVisuals are so important to me, and I\u2019m very proud to be in a place where I can present my creative vision exactly as I want it. Thank you to everyone who has put their trust in me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The video features Eilish zoning out in an all-white outfit against a similarly hued wall. A series of disembodied hands put out cigarettes on her face, but she seems unfazed \u2014 almost as if she\u2019s taken a titular Xanny.<\/p>\n

The 17-year-old recently dropped an ode to her brother-producer Finneas, \u201cEverything I Wanted,\u201d<\/a> as well as nabbed six Grammy nominations; in addition to Best New Artist, she also also nominated for Record and Song of the Year (\u201cBad Guy\u201d) and Album of the Year<\/a>. Capping off a busy year, she\u2019s out with her first live album<\/a>, via Jack White\u2019s Third Man Record, this Friday.<\/p>\n
