Flaming Lips<\/a> have joined forces with Los Angeles rock duo Deap Vally<\/a> for a collaborative LP under the moniker Deap Lips.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 10-song self-titled album, available to preorder<\/a> now through Cooking Vinyl, arrives March 13th, 2020. The group also unveiled the first single \u201cHope Hell High,\u201d with Deap Vally\u2019s Lindsey Troy and Julie Edwards adding heavy riffs and vocals atop Flaming Lips\u2019 Wayne Coyne and Steven Drozd\u2019s kaleidoscopic orchestration.<\/span><\/p>\n

Deap Lips<\/em> marks Deap Vally\u2019s first release since 2016\u2019s Femejism<\/em><\/a>. Meanwhile, the Flaming Lips<\/a> have had a productive 2019 as the band both released their new album King\u2019s Mouth<\/a><\/em> and celebrated the 20th anniversary of their 1999 masterpiece The Soft Bulletin<\/em> with a limited edition reissue<\/a> and an orchestral live album.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n
