The Cook County medical examiner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2019\/12\/08\/arts\/juice-wrld-dead.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">confirmed<\/a> Higgins\u2019 death to the <em>New York Times<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cA 21-year-old male suffered a medical emergency and was transferred to [Advocate Christ Medical Center] in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead,\u201d a rep for the Chicago Police Department told <i>Rolling Stone<\/i>; authorities would not identify the male as the investigation was still pending. <\/span><span class=\"s1\">No cause of death was provided.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In just a two-year span, Juice WRLD landed three albums into the upper reaches of the album charts: Following his breakout single \u201cAll Girls Are the Same,\u201d Higgins made his debut in 2018 with <em>Goodbye &amp; Good Riddance<\/em>, which boasted the unexpected Hot 100 hit \u201cLucid Dreams.\u201d The rapper followed that up with <em>WRLD on Drugs<\/em>, a collaborative mixtape with Future that peaked at Number 2 on the album charts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" type=\"text\/html\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mzB1VGEGcSU?version=3&amp;enablejsapi=1&amp;origin=https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com&amp;rel=1&amp;fs=1&amp;autohide=2&amp;showsearch=0&amp;showinfo=1&amp;iv_load_policy=1&amp;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\">[embedded content]<\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/juice-wrld-making-of-death-race-for-love-805159\/\">Proving he was more than a one-hit wonder<\/a>, Juice WRLD\u2019s <i>Death Race for Love<\/i> placed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-lists\/best-albums-2019-914750\/juice-wrld-death-race-to-love-2-918361\/\">Number 40 on <em>Rolling Stone<\/em>\u2019s Best Albums of 2019 list<\/a>. \u201cPeople say that they can hear the rock influence, the Blink-182 influence, the emo influence in my music, but on this album you can hear ev-er-y-thing,\u201d Juice WRLD<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/juice-wrld-making-of-death-race-for-love-805159\/\"><span class=\"s2\"><b>&nbsp;<\/b>told&nbsp;<i>Rolling Stone<\/i><\/span><\/a>. \u201cI have songs for the trap house, songs for the sock hop, songs for the Caribbeans, songs for raves, songs for slow dancing.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Recently, Higgins landed another hit with \u201cBandit\u201d featuring NBA Youngboy; the single has already accrued 78 millions on YouTube.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" type=\"text\/html\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Sw5fNI400E4?version=3&amp;enablejsapi=1&amp;origin=https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com&amp;rel=1&amp;fs=1&amp;autohide=2&amp;showsearch=0&amp;showinfo=1&amp;iv_load_policy=1&amp;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\">[embedded content]<\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>In July 2018, following the deaths of fellow young rappers Lil Peep and XXXTentacion, Juice WLRD released the Soundcloud single \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/soundcloud.com\/uiceheidd\/juice-wrld-legends\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Legends<\/a>.\u201d <span class=\"s1\">\u201cWhat\u2019s the 27 Club?
