For <i>Love and Conflict<\/i>, Wash teamed with producer Sami Basbous, saying, \u201cMy producers took me out of my comfort zone and into a new musical direction and the results are both uplifting and thought-provoking. I think that everyone will relate to the lyrics on this album and each listener will get their own message from the music.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Wash broke out as a back-up singer for Seventies disco star Sylvester, while her own duo, the Weather Girls, scored a famous camp hit with 1982\u2019s \u201cIt\u2019s Raining Men.\u201d Wash <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/martha-wash-the-most-famous-unknown-singer-of-the-90s-speaks-out-231182\/\">saw an unexpected resurgence<\/a> in the Nineties, as her soaring vocal tracks anchored C + C Music Factory\u2019s \u201cGonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now),\u201d Black Box\u2019s \u201cStrike It Up\u201d and \u201cEverybody Everybody,\u201d among others.
