Kelly<\/a> Part II: The Reckoning \u2014<\/em>&nbsp;the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/tv\/tv-news\/lifetime-surviving-jeffrey-epstein-r-kelly-862831\/\">previously announced follow-up<\/a> to the network\u2019s probing look into the singer\u2019s alleged sexual abuse \u2014 will air in early 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The first half of the two-night, four-hour special will premiere January 3rd, with the second part to follow January 4th. On January 2nd, before <em>Part II<\/em>, Lifetime will air the six-hour <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/tv\/tv-features\/surviving-r-kelly-lifetime-docuseries-review-774317\/\"><em>Surviving R. Kelly<\/em><\/a> in its entirety.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><em>Part II<\/em> looks back at the immediate cultural impact in the aftermath of <em>Surviving R. Kelly<\/em>, as well as runs down everything that has happened to the singer since the docuseries aired, including his record contract termination, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/surviving-r-kelly-screening-canceled-gun-threat-763304\/\">a gun threat at the docuseries\u2019 premiere<\/a>, <\/span><span class=\"s1\">the Illinois state charges against Kelly and a pair of federal indictments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The follow-up will feature new interviews with journalist Jim DeRogatis,&nbsp;Damon Dash,&nbsp;Mathew Knowles, #MeToo Founder Tarana Burke,&nbsp;W. Kamau Bell, State\u2019s Attorney for Cook County Kimberly Foxx, lawyer Michael Avenatti (who represents some of Kelly\u2019s alleged victims) and women like Jerhonda Pace and Kitti Jones, who featured prominently in Surviving R.
