Charli XCX<\/a> has teamed up with Vancouver rapper-model and frequent collaborator Tommy Genesis on a new single, \u201cBricks.\u201d The A.G. Cook-produced song originally appeared in the 2018 black-comedy action film Assassination Nation<\/em>, and finally got a proper release this week.<\/p>\n

\u201cBricks\u201d follows the duo\u2019s remix of Tommy Genesis\u2019 \u201c100 Bad.\u201d<\/a> Genesis also opened for Charli XCX for several dates on the North American tour<\/a> of her latest album, Charli<\/em>. Genesis\u2019 self-titled debut was released last December.<\/p>\n

Charli XCX previously released the music videos \u201cWhite Mercedes,\u201d<\/a> \u201c2099\u201d<\/a> featuring Troye Sivan, and \u201cGone\u201d<\/a> featuring Christine and the Queens. The British pop star also appeared<\/a> on The Tonight Show <\/em>earlier this year to perform a mash-up of Icona Pop\u2019s \u201cI Love It\u201d (which she featured on, and was one of her earliest hits) and Depeche Mode\u2019s \u201cJust Can\u2019t Get Enough\u201d with Jimmy Fallon.<\/p>\n

Last month, Charli XCX debuted the Netflix documentary I\u2019m With the Band<\/em><\/a>, following her formation of the band Nasty Cherry. The film was released alongside Nasty Cherry\u2019s debut LP.<\/p>\n
