And in L.A. there\u2019s also that sense of impending doom, whether it\u2019s fire season or actual earthquakes. People adapt and everything becomes normalized. That\u2019s what\u2019s cool about the video. It shows people going about their business. People think of L.A. as quite a utopian place but really it\u2019s sort of like a mirage.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Gordon elaborated on her move back to Los Angeles, where she grew up and went to college, in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/kim-gordon-no-home-record-898206\/\">an interview with <em>Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a> in October, \u201cThe things that I had issues with about L.A. [growing up] I still have issues with; just a certain glossy Hollywood kind of thing. I just disliked how everything is about money. But that\u2019s pretty easy to avoid. And, I mean, New York was always about money. I just wasn\u2019t aware of it cause I didn\u2019t have any for a long time.
