In the spring, a very stoned <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/birding-with-charles-episode-1-valee-851830\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Valee stood in awe of the majestic creatures<\/a> as he learned how to use binoculars. As the summer ended, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/birding-with-charles-episode-2-912307\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Doja Cat remixed her viral hit \u201cMoo!\u201d<\/a> into \u201cBitch, I\u2019m a Bird.\u201d Then on a brisk November morning,&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/jeff-goldblum\/\" id=\"auto-tag_jeff-goldblum\" data-tag=\"jeff-goldblum\">Jeff Goldblum<\/a> decided to come to Central Park to partake in the serene world of birdwatching. Throughout the day, Jeff saw cardinals, blue jays, and woodpeckers as he discussed working on his new album with the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, <em>I Shouldn\u2019t Be Telling You This.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The primary objective of this episode, was seeing two charming men from two different worlds enjoying each other\u2019s company and searching for songbirds Goldblum could feature on his next <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/jeff-goldblum-jazz-album-mildred-snitzer-orchestra-interview-759895\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">jazz album<\/a>. Predictably, what unfolded was a day of confused looks, explaining cultural moments separated by decades, but most importantly laughter. It\u2019s partially what lead to this exchange that is forever part of <em>Rolling Stone<\/em>\u2018s legacy now, much to my editors\u2019 chagrin.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Charles:<\/strong> Give me really quick before we watch the bird, \u201cthe top five jazz artists with the best drip.\u201d<br \/><strong>Jeff:<\/strong> Drip meaning\u2026<br \/><strong>Charles:<\/strong> They\u2019re drowning in drip.<br \/><strong>Jeff:<\/strong> Drowning in drip, I think I know what that means. I love Thelonious Monk. I love Keith Jarrett. I love Oscar Peterson.<br \/><strong>Charles:<\/strong> A lot of drip.<br \/><strong>Jeff:<\/strong> I love Louis Armstrong.<br \/><strong>Charles:<\/strong> Classic.<br \/><strong>Jeff:<\/strong> And one more I guess, Charles Mingus.<br \/><strong>Charles:<\/strong> He dripped hard.<br \/><strong>Jeff:<\/strong> Drowning in drip. I\u2019d say. That\u2019s the name of our next album,<em> Drowning In Drip<\/em>. It\u2019s also my production company, \u2018Drowning In Drip Pictures.\u2019<br \/><strong>Charles:<\/strong><span> You might want to hit up Gunna.
