Harry Styles<\/a> sophomore album, Fine Line<\/em>, makes a massive debut at Number One this week on the Rolling Stone Top 200 Albums Chart<\/a>, moving 510,100 total album units for the week of December 13th through December 19th.<\/p>\n

This marks the second highest debut in the chart\u2019s history, narrowly topping the 500,300 units for Post Malone\u2019s Hollywood\u2019 Bleeding<\/em> <\/a> in its first week. But it wasn\u2019t enough to beat Taylor Swift\u2019s Lover, <\/em>which debuted with 991,800 units<\/a> in August.<\/p>\n

Fine Line<\/em>\u2018s success was largely driven by sales, which accounted for 360,700 units. The album was bundled to tickets sales  \u2060\u2014 specifically, to North American dates of his 2020 Love On Tour \u2060\u2014 as well as merchandise, including a $75 T-shirt designed by Gucci\u2019s Alessandro Michele, with part of the proceeds going to the Global Fund for Women.<\/p>\n

The Rolling Stone<\/i><\/a> 200 Albums chart tracks the most popular releases of the week in the United States. Entries are ranked by album units, a number that combines digital and physical album sales, digital song sales, and audio streams using a custom weighting system. The chart does not include passive listening such as terrestrial radio or digital radio. The Rolling Stone<\/i> 200 Albums chart is updated daily, and each week Rolling Stone<\/i> finalizes and publishes an official version of the chart, covering the seven-day period ending with the previous Thursday.<\/p>\n

Fine Line<\/em> debuted more than 400,000 units ahead of the Number Two album, Blake Shelton<\/a>\u2019s new compilation album Fully Loaded: God\u2019s Country <\/em>(82,100 units). Roddy Ricch<\/a>\u2019s Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial \u2014 <\/em>which topped Camila Cabello\u2019s Romance<\/em> and The Who\u2019s Who<\/em> for Number One last week<\/a> \u2014  holds strong at Number Three, moving over 80,000 units. Hollywood\u2019s Bleeding<\/em> (64,700 units) and the Frozen 2<\/em> soundtrack (61,900) round out the top five.<\/p>\n

No other new albums debuted in the top 100 as a flurry of holiday albums took many of the top spots, including Mariah Carey\u2019s Merry Christmas (Number Six), Michael Bubl\u00e9\u2019s Christmas<\/em> (Number Seven) and Pentatonix\u2019s The Best of Pentatonix Christmas<\/em> (Number Eight). The only debuts to come close were KAYTRANADA\u2019s \u201cBUBBA,\u201d which came in at Number 110 with 10,100 units, and YFN Lucci\u2019s HIStory<\/em> at Number 139 (8,900 units).<\/p>\n
