Nick Cave<\/a> and the Bad Seeds have made their 2018 concert film, Distant Sky \u2014 Live in Copenhagen,<\/i> available for free in its entirety on YouTube<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Directed by David Barnard, the film captures a particularly emotional October 2017 concert at Denmark\u2019s Royal Arena. At the time, the band was touring in support of their then-most recent album, 2016\u2019s Skeleton Tree<\/i><\/a>, which was made in the aftermath of the death of one of Cave\u2019s sons. The concert featured a career-spanning setlist that went back to the title track of their first album, 1984\u2019s From Her to Eternity<\/i>, although the majority of the show focused on Skeleton Tree<\/i>.<\/p>\n

Distant Sky<\/i> was screened in theaters<\/a> for one night only in 2018, while, in April, it was made available<\/a> to stream on Cave\u2019s website, but only for a couple days. Cave announced the full release of the film on YouTube, saying, \u201cI\u2019ve been getting many letters on The Red Hand Files<\/a> asking about access to the Distant Sky \u2014 Live in Copenhagen<\/em> movie. Along with the Distant Sky<\/i> concert film, Cave and the Bad Seeds also issued a live EP of the same name<\/a> featuring performances of four songs from the concert, \u201cJubilee Street,\u201d \u201cDistant Sky,\u201d \u201cFrom Her to Eternity\u201d and \u201cThe Mercy Seat.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds<\/a> released their most recent studio album, Ghosteen<\/i><\/a>, in October.<\/p>\n
