Drake<\/a> said he was uninterested in squashing his feuds with Kanye West and Pusha T in an interview on Elliott Wilson and Brian \u201cB.Dot\u201d Miller\u2019s Rap Radar<\/em> podcast, via Tidal<\/a>. He also discussed his new album and getting booed off stage at Camp Flog Gnaw.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Pusha T, Drake said he had \u201cno desire to mend anything with that person\u201d after the pair got into a nasty back-and-forth<\/a> back in May 2018 (in one diss track, \u201cThe Story of Adidon,\u201d<\/a> Pusha revealed that Drake had a son he had not yet gone public about). Speaking now, Drake said he once had a lot of admiration for Pusha T\u2019s music and his drug dealing sagas, but added that the music no longer appealed to him because he no longer believed it. \u201cAnd I like to listen to guys I believe,\u201d he said (via Complex<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Of the actual diss tracks he and Push released during that time, Drake said, \u201cI sleep well at night knowing I didn\u2019t get out-barred\u2026 It was just, you know, he told the world that the biggest artist at the time has a kid that he hasn\u2019t told you about. I knew, kind of, for me, it was over at that point. It wasn\u2019t even about battle rap.\u201d<\/p>\n

Drake went on to acknowledge that his feud with Pusha T stemmed from his rift with Kanye West. And while West has made various attempts to get back in touch<\/a> with him, Drake said he wasn\u2019t interested in reopening lines of communication with West at this time.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that he definitely recruited a guy [Pusha T] with a similar dislike for me no matter what he says in interviews,\u201d Drake said. \u201cThere\u2019s something there that bothers him deeply and, yeah, I can\u2019t fix it for him. It just is what it is. I could never ever, ever, ever turn my back on the things that I\u2019ve said about him in a positive light\u2026 Things have changed. I\u2019m not just some kid that\u2019s a fan anymore. Now we have personal situations, and, like I said, a lot of his issues with me, I can\u2019t fix them for him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the interview, Drake talked about a recent incident where he was announced as the surprise guest at Tyler, the Creator\u2019s Camp Flog Gnaw Festival and was promptly booed off stage<\/a> by a crowd that was expecting Frank Ocean. Drake seemed relatively good natured about the embarrassing incident, saying he could sense the crowd wasn\u2019t on his side from backstage and that he joked to someone at the time, \u201cHow long you think it\u2019s gonna take for them to boo me off stage?\u201d<\/p>\n

Drake continued, \u201cI was a little confused. I was kind of sitting there, going like, \u2018You guys know Frank\u2019s not here, right? You may as well get over that\u2026 let\u2019s rock, I\u2019m the guy, I\u2019m the replacement. I got a couple joints if you wanna hear them.\u2019 In hindsight, I wish I would\u2019ve said, \u2018Yo guys, Frank\u2026\u2019 or just broke out into, \u2018A tornado flew around\u2026’\u201d<\/p>\n

Drake also offered some insight into his current music-making process as he continues to prep the follow-up to his 2018 album, Scorpion<\/i>, which he\u2019s said will arrive in 2020<\/a>. While the musician didn\u2019t offer any specific details, he said he was taking his time with the project, and that giving himself that kind of space was having a positive impact on his songwriting.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll go like three weeks in between making songs, just because I\u2019m just kind of enjoying life,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m enjoying living, going out with people. Investing in personal connections. And it\u2019s just making my music better.\u201d<\/p>\n
