Most of Nirvana<\/a> will reunite at The Art of Elysium\u2019s annual Heaven Is Rock and Roll gala in Los Angeles, Saturday January 4th. Dave Grohl will perform with Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear, with additional performances by Beck, St. Vincent, Marilyn Manson, L7, Cheap Trick and Grohl\u2019s daughter, Violet.<\/p>\n

The Art of Elysium was founded in 1997 to \u201csupport individuals in the midst of difficult emotional life challenges like illness, hospitalization, displacement, confinement, and\/or crisis,\u201d according to the website<\/a>. \u201cWe serve medically fragile children, teens, adults, seniors, those dealing with social, emotional and mental health issues and the homeless.\u201d<\/p>\n

The event was curated by We Are Hear \u2014 a Los Angeles based record label, music publisher and artist management company founded by producers Linda Perry and Kerry Brown \u2014 and will honor actors Ashley and Topher Grace for their charitable works. Tickets<\/a> are on sale now for the event, which takes place at the Palladium.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear whether Grohl and Co. will perform as Nirvana, but the charity is selling a $50,000 Nirvana ticket package<\/a>, which includes seating for 10 guests (show and dinner) and the buyer\u2019s name on all printed materials. The price of the ticket also goes toward Art of Elysium\u2019s various initiatives.<\/p>\n
