{"id":974246,"date":"2020-01-03T10:55:37","date_gmt":"2020-01-03T17:55:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/?p=933355"},"modified":"2020-01-03T10:55:37","modified_gmt":"2020-01-03T17:55:37","slug":"rosalia-shares-gesaffelstein-remix-of-a-pale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/kfmu\/music-news\/rosalia-shares-gesaffelstein-remix-of-a-pale\/","title":{"rendered":"Rosal\u00eda Shares Gesaffelstein Remix of \u2018A Pal\u00e9\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/rosalia-gessafelstein.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/rosalia\/\">Rosal\u00eda<\/a> has released a new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/remix\/\" id=\"auto-tag_remix\" data-tag=\"remix\">remix<\/a> of her song <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-latin\/rosalia-new-a-pale-video-907122\/\">\u201cA Pal\u00e9\u201d<\/a> by French producer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/gesaffelstein\/\">Gesaffelstein<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The remix extends the two-and-a-half minute track by an extra 30 seconds and adds a creeping techno beat to the Spanish pop star\u2019s breathy vocals, replacing the Atlanta trap beats and hand-clapping in the El Guincho and Frank Dukes-produced original.<\/p>\n<p>Rosal\u00eda first released <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-latin\/rosalia-new-a-pale-video-907122\/\">\u201cA Pal\u00e9\u201d back in November<\/a>, alongside a music video directed by Jora Frantzis. She debuted the song at the 2019 Latin Grammy Awards in Las Vegas, where the Spanish singer-songwriter also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-latin\/rosalia-latin-grammys-album-of-the-year-912857\/\">won Album of the Year<\/a>, becoming the first solo female performer to win the award since Shakira in 2006. She also took home Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Album and Best Urban Song for her song \u201cCon Altura\u201d with J Balvin and El Guincho. The video for \u201cCon Altura\u201d has surpassed one billion views on YouTube, and became the most-viewed video featuring a female artist in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Houston rapper Travis Scott recently featured Rosal\u00eda on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/song-you-need-to-know-travis-scott-lil-baby-rosalia-highest-in-the-room-931697\/\">a new remix<\/a> of his song \u201cHighest in the Room,\u201d released in late December.
