With her co-writers Justin Tranter and Julia Michaels, she dove into the album\u2019s inspirations and the process of writing it down to the very last day of production.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were still, the last day, writing music\u2026[like] the song I personally think is going to be one of our biggest as well,\u201d she said. She didn\u2019t specify which song that might be, but implied that it might be the next single after \u201cLose You to Love Me\u201d and \u201cLook at Her Now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" type=\"text\/html\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kCpCSZ-IzX8?version=3&amp;enablejsapi=1&amp;origin=https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com&amp;rel=1&amp;fs=1&amp;autohide=2&amp;showsearch=0&amp;showinfo=1&amp;iv_load_policy=1&amp;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\">[embedded content]<\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Gomez also shared that the hook from \u201cPeople You Know\u201d (\u201cPeople go from people you know to people you don\u2019t\u201d) came from a friend of a friend, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/julia-michaels\">Julia Michaels<\/a> also went into her own inspiration for writing \u201cLose You to Love Me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2018Lose You to Love Me\u2019 happened when I had come home from tour,\u201d she recalled. \u201cIt was on Valentine\u2019s Day that we wrote it. And I think that\u2019s probably one of my favorites. And it was also our first time seeing [Selena] in so long. I think it was just one of my favorites just because we were all reunited again and doing it again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gomez revealed that she had just gotten back from a mental health treatment center when they wrote the song. \u201cWhen I walked in, it was literally just the piano and the chorus and a bit of the first verse and I just sat there. And I tell people this, too, because it was also such a very raw moment. And so I had dealt with that for so long that I had been conditioned.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She went on, \u201cWhen I chose to do <em>Spring Breakers<\/em>, that was a huge moment.
