Selena Gomez<\/a> has shared the music video<\/a> for \u201cRare,\u201d the title track of her new album<\/a>, out Friday.<\/p>\n

The clip, directed by BRTHR, features the pop star in Technicolor fairytale landscapes, surrounded by rainbows, butterflies and one neon-colored hot tub. \u201cYou don\u2019t care\/Why don\u2019t you recognize I\u2019m so rare?\u201d she sings to the camera.<\/p>\n

Gomez describes the songs on Rare<\/em> \u2014 which also include the singles \u201cLose You to Love Me\u201d and \u201cLook at Her Now\u201d \u2014 as \u201cthe most honest music I\u2019ve ever made.\u201d The 13-track LP includes collaborations with 6lack and Kid Cudi, and the deluxe version adds previously released singles \u201cWolves (feat. Marshmello),\u201d \u201cBack to You,\u201d \u201cBad Liar,\u201d \u201cIt Ain\u2019t Me (feat. Kygo)\u201d and \u201cFetish (feat. Gucci Mane).\u201d<\/p>\n

To celebrate the album release, Gomez and two of her songwriting collaborators \u2014 Justin Tranter and Julia Michaels \u2014 appeared<\/a> on Zane Lowe\u2019s Beats 1 radio show for an interview, during which Gomez revealed that she wrote \u201cLose You to Love Me\u201d after coming back from a mental health treatment center. Michaels kicked off the composition and presented it to Gomez when she returned.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I walked in [the studio], it was literally just the piano and the chorus and a bit of the first verse and I just sat there,\u201d Gomez recalled. \u201cAnd I tell people this, too, because it was also such a very raw moment. A, I had just gotten back, but B, we were in the bright daylight, and that\u2019s not normally how you\u2019re maybe talking about something like that.\u201d<\/p>\n
