Sia<\/a> has released her uplifting new single \u201cOriginal,\u201d off the soundtrack for the upcoming Robert Downey Jr. film Dolittle<\/em><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI won\u2019t waste my life being typical \/ Imma be original, even when it\u2019s difficult,\u201d Sia sings on the chorus. \u201cAnd I won\u2019t change myself when they tell me \u2018no\u2019 \/ Imma be original.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Dolittle<\/em>, a new spin on the classic story of the doctor who can speak to animals, arrives in theaters January 17th.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOriginal\u201d marks Sia\u2019s first new solo song since 2019\u2019s \u201cOut There<\/a>,\u201d a collaboration with Hans Zimmer that served as the theme song for the BBC\u2019s nature documentary One Planet, Seven Worlds<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

While Sia hasn\u2019t released an album of new, non-Christmas material since 2016\u2019s This Is Acting<\/em>, the singer has kept busy in recent years with her LSD collaboration<\/a> with Diplo and Labrinth as well as her steady soundtrack work: In the past four years since This Is Acting<\/em>, Sia has contributed new songs to films like Lion<\/em> (\u201cNever Give Up<\/a>\u201c), Wonder Woman<\/em> (\u201cTo Be Human<\/a>\u201c), My Little Pony: The Movie<\/em> (\u201cRainbow\u201d), Fifty Shades Darker<\/em> (\u201cHelium\u201d), At The Heart of Gold: Inside the USA Gymnastics Scandal<\/em> (\u201cI\u2019m Still Here<\/a>\u201c) and Dumplin\u2019<\/em> (\u201cHere I Am<\/a>\u201d with Dolly Parton), as well as songs penned for Natalie Portman\u2019s character in Vox Lux<\/em><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
