All of time is right here, is right now.\u201d The track builds with layered keys, crescendoing as synthesizers rise into a symphonic swirl. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cBecome a Mountain\u201d appears on Deacon\u2019s fifth official LP, <em>Mystic Familiar<\/em>, out January 31st. The album, which also includes lead single \u201cSat By a Tree,\u201d follows 2015\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/gliss-riffer-88537\/\"><em>Gliss Riffer<\/em><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In a statement, the experimental artist notes that \u201cBecome a Mountain\u201d outlines the LP\u2019s conceptual framework of a \u201cNarrator and their Mystic Familiar.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cOur Narrator, in the opening verse and choruses, is trying to learn how to be self-compassionate, to live a life in the present while being able to deal with self-doubt and anxiety in a lifetime of great flux and foundational transformations,\u201d he writes. \u201cMeanwhile, our Mystic Familiar, in verse two and the pre-choruses, tries to help guide the transformations of our narrator through mantras coaxing me to be present in the now, even while also being an element of chaos itself.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Deacon will promote the record on a North American tour that launches February 26th in Charlottesville, Virginia and runs through early May.
