The grandson of <em>Star Wars<\/em> composer John Williams and one half of the brother-sister duo the Belle Brigade, Gruska has had a hand in producing Bridgers\u2019 2017 debut, <em>Stranger in the Alps<\/em>; her one-off&nbsp;collaborations like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/the-national-matt-berninger-phoebe-bridgers-duet-898986\/\">\u201cWalking on a String\u201d<\/a> (with the National\u2019s Matt Berninger) and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/phoebe-bridgers-7-oclock-news-silent-night-fiona-apple-matt-berninger-925711\/\"> \u201c7 O\u2019Clock News\/Silent Night\u201d<\/a> (with Fiona Apple); and her next solo record, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-lists\/2020-album-preview-drake-bieber-springsteen-adele-931360\/phoebe-bridgers-931368\/\">due this spring<\/a>. Now, the indie phenom has returned the favor, singing background vocals on Gruska\u2019s new song, \u201cEnough For Now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s a driving, urgent force behind the single, which comes from Gruska\u2019s upcoming LP <em>En Garde<\/em>. Touches of electronica suggest the Postal Service\u2019s \u201cSuch Great Heights\u201d without quite so many early-aughts sad hipster vibes, and with increased levels of indie-pop grandeur in their place. \u201cMaybe I\u2019ll try\/Maybe I\u2019ll die trying\/To let this be enough for now,\u201d Gruska blithely suggests, as Bridgers joins in for the chorus.
