Soon, however, a quartet of background singers popped up behind Coldplay to add harmonies, while, by the end of the song, the entire audience was up on its feet, snapping and swaying.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cCry, Cry, Cry\u201d appears on Coldplay\u2019s most recent album, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/coldplay-everyday-life-918255\/\"><i>Everyday<\/i> <i>Life<\/i><\/a>, which was released last November and marked the band\u2019s first since 2015\u2019s <i>A Head Full of Dreams<\/i>. In an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/chris-martin-coldplay-interview-jann-wenner-920912\/\">extensive interview with <i>Rolling Stone<\/i><\/a> about the new LP, frontman Chris Martin said, \u201c[W]e had to grow a bit of balls to be able to do this one. It\u2019s the first time we really said what we think about some things. And it\u2019s trying to be empathetic and it\u2019s a bit unfiltered. It\u2019s completely unfiltered.
