We all know and love the My Chemical Romance<\/strong> classic ‘Famous Last Words’, right? But do you know the story behind the name?<\/p>\n

A resurfaced tweet from MCR frontman Gerard Way<\/strong> has shed some light on the title, and even revealed that it wasn’t always called ‘Famous Last Words’. Nope – the original title was was actually ‘The Saddest Music In The World’. <\/p>\n

The resurfaced tweet was in reply to a fan who asked Gerard about the song title, to which he replied that it “was [originally] titled ‘The Saddest Music In The World’, which is a film. To disassociate, I chose a title I had always wanted to use”.<\/em><\/p>\n

The film in question was a 2003 musical of sorts, set during the Great Depression, where a beer baroness organizes a contest to find the saddest music in the world. Basically the plot revolves around musicians from around the world descending on the city of Winnipeg to try and win the $25,000 prize.<\/p>\n
