{"id":975466,"date":"2020-03-05T06:45:00","date_gmt":"2020-03-05T13:45:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rocksound.tv\/news\/read\/listen-two-pummelling-new-songs-from-wars"},"modified":"2020-03-05T06:45:00","modified_gmt":"2020-03-05T13:45:00","slug":"listen-two-pummelling-new-songs-from-wars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alwaysmountaintime.com\/kfmu\/music-news\/listen-two-pummelling-new-songs-from-wars\/","title":{"rendered":"LISTEN: Two Pummelling New Songs From wars"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"excerpt\" readability=\"7\">\n<p>This is &#8216;Chapter 1&#8217; of their new era.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt src=\"https:\/\/www.rocksound.tv\/assets\/uploads\/wars2020.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>wars<\/strong> have dropped the first two songs from their upcoming album &#8216;A Hundred Shivers&#8217;.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Always a band to make sure their music is consumed in the most interesting of ways, the two tracks are currently known as &#8216;Chapter 1&#8217; of the new project.<\/p>\n<p>You have &#8216;Only Monsters&#8217; which you can watch a video for as well:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen frameborder=\"0\" height=\"357\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/yYuVk2SdPDw\" width=\"635\">[embedded content]<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>And then there&#8217;s &#8216;A Fog Of Feeling&#8217; which you can listen to below:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen frameborder=\"0\" height=\"357\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/miix1IvKa34\" width=\"635\">[embedded content]<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Vocalist Rob Vicars has this to say about the project and how it expanded over time:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cA Hundred Shivers&nbsp;began life as this expansion of the ideas we started with on the EP, \u2018As Within \/\/\/ So Without\u2019, and it\u2019s grown and snaked even broader than we originally thought it might.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That idea of internal chaos and disorder reflecting out onto the world around you remains, and we talk within that about the relentlessness of just existing in society now; the impact losing yourself has on those around you; escape; guilt; fear\u2026 We\u2019re still in awe of the fact we get a platform to go all in on these ideas and bring them out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also added this about why they have chosen to release the music in the form of &#8216;Chapters&#8217;:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIt means we can wrap all our little communications around each individual selection of songs really tightly, and be creative in a tonne of different spaces, all over the course of this one record.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cTo get to release what we\u2019ve been working on, and even what we will be working on, over the course&nbsp;of this record, to be able to just keep putting this out as a persistent thing feels like the perfect complement to the way we write and create.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&#8216;A Hundred Shivers&#8217; is scheduled for release next year.<\/p>\n<p>It follows the release of EP &#8216;As Within \/\/\/ So Without&#8217; last year.
