Niall Horan<\/a> joined Jimmy Fallon<\/a> for the most recent edition of The Tonight Show<\/a><\/em>, filmed at home in Fallon\u2019s house during the COVID-19 pandemic, to perform \u201cDear Patience.\u201d<\/p>\n

Appearing via video chat at the 7:45 minute mark, Horan discussed his new album, Heartbreak Weather<\/em>, and how he\u2019s coping with self-quarantine. \u201cIt\u2019s crazy, I\u2019ve never Zoom-ed in my life, but here we are,\u201d Horan said, speaking from his apartment in London. Horan added that he\u2019s been penning some new music during his time alone at home. \u201cI wrote a couple of tunes,\u201d he told Fallon. \u201cDefinitely finding it relatively hard to get motivated when all I can do is sit in my living room.\u201d<\/p>\n

Horan added that he\u2019s happy with how well his album has done since release. \u201cIt was a lot of fun to make,\u201d he said. \u201cI had a great time making it. It\u2019s a bit of a shame that I had to release it amongst all of this, but you can\u2019t win every week. It went to No. 1 in the U.K. and Ireland, which was huge for me\u2026 It\u2019s a weird time, but a good time.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pair also compared their golf games during the video chat and talked about all the touring opportunities Horan has had to put on hold before the singer took on \u201cDear Patience,\u201d which comes on  at the 18:20 mark. \u201cIt\u2019s an album track, but I just thought it was very relevant right now because I wrote it at a time when I needed to be patient,\u201d Horan explained. \u201cAnd if anyone needs to be patient right now it\u2019s all of us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Horan released Heartbreak Weather<\/em> earlier this month. He recently performed<\/a> a live stream concert for Global Citizen and the World Health Organization\u2019s Together at Home virtual concert series and played several tracks off the album.<\/p>\n
