If you don’t yet care about Netflix’s The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance<\/em>, you might now.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The streaming service just released the full cast list for the prequel to the 1982 Jim Henson movie, and it’s wild<\/em>. There are more stars in it than you can probably even count from all corners of Hollywood.<\/p>\n

Taron Egerton<\/a><\/strong>, Anya Taylor-Joy<\/strong>, and Nathalie Emmanuel<\/strong> lead the series as\u00a0the three Gelfling heroes Rian, Brea, and Deet,\u00a0and their fellow Gelflings will be voiced by: Caitriona Balfe<\/a><\/strong>, Helena Bonham-Carter<\/strong>, Natalie Dormer<\/a><\/strong>, Eddie Izzard<\/strong>, Theo James<\/a><\/strong>, Gugu Mbatha-Raw<\/strong>, Mark Strong<\/strong>, Alicia Vikander<\/a><\/strong>, Harris Dickinson<\/strong>, Toby Jones<\/strong>, and Shazad Latif<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Mystics and the evil Skekis will be voiced by Harvey Fierstein<\/strong>, Mark Hamill<\/a><\/strong>, Jason Isaacs<\/strong>, Keegan Michael-Key<\/strong>, Simon Pegg<\/strong>, Andy Samberg<\/a><\/strong>, Ralph Inseon<\/strong>, and \u00d3lafur Darri \u00d3lafsson<\/strong>. Aughra will be voiced by Donna Kimball<\/strong>, and if most of that didn’t make any sense to you, you got a movie to watch!<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

The\u00a0puppet-filled 1982\u00a0Dark Crystal<\/em>\u00a0movie was directed by\u00a0Jim Henson<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Frank Oz<\/strong>\u00a0and followed a young Gelfling\u00a0who was raised by Mystics and told he was the last of his race. He went in search of the last shard of the Dark Crystal in order to restore balance to the universe.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

The Netflix prequel, from the Jim Henson Company, is set many years before the first movie, when the world of Thra is dying and the Crystal of Truth has been damaged by the evil Skeksis. Gelfling heroes Rian (Egerton), Brea (Taylor-Joy), and Deet (Emmanuel) uncover the horrific truth behind the power of the Skeksis and end up on an adventure “as the fires of rebellion are lit and an epic battle for the planet begins.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

Honestly, we’re here for any show that’s got a cast like this, whether the plot description makes any sense to us or not!\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
