Bad Gal RiRi has some good news to share.<\/p>\n

Rihanna<\/a><\/strong> answered everyone’s burning question when she replied to a fan on Instagram. The “Work” singer posted a photo<\/a> promoting some of her Fenty Beauty makeup and one user asked, “But when is the new album dropping Robyn?”<\/p>\n

She responded, “2019.”<\/p>\n

It’s a fantastic answer for RiRi fans out there who have been wondering “Where Have You Been” in terms of her music. Rihanna’s last album was\u00a0Anti<\/em>, which came out in 2016.<\/p>\n

Since\u00a0Anti<\/em>‘s release, the singer has been focusing heavily on her Fenty Beauty lines, as well as her blossoming acting career.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Rihanna starred in\u00a0Ocean’s\u00a0Eight<\/em> alongside Sandra Bullock<\/a><\/strong>, Cate Blanchett<\/a><\/strong>, Awkwafina<\/a><\/strong>, Anne Hathaway<\/a><\/strong> and others. She will also be co-starring in a movie<\/a>\u00a0with Donald<\/strong> Glover<\/strong> called\u00a0Guava Island<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Although RiRi doesn’t share when in 2019 eager ears will finally hear the new tunes, we do know it’s “incredible,” according to her vocal producer Kuk Harrell<\/strong>. Harrell apparently did an Instagram Live session on Dec. 13 and when asked\u00a0about an update<\/a>\u00a0on\u00a0R9 (<\/em>named for her ninth studio album), he said, “R9 is amazing. It’s incredible. And that’s all I’m going to\u00a0say.”<\/p>\n

Even though we haven’t heard new\u00a0tracks from Rihanna in a few years, her musical impact is\u00a0still\u00a0as relevant as ever. The “Disturbia” artist reportedly turned down the offer<\/a> to perform during the 2019 Super Bowl Halftime Show, reportedly in solidarity with Colin<\/strong> Kaepernick<\/strong>. Maroon 5<\/a><\/strong> and Travis Scott<\/a><\/strong> will do the honors<\/a> in February instead.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, we’ll be waiting patiently for RiRi to take a bow with\u00a0her new songs.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
