The 62-year-old\u00a0fan-favorite Oscar-winning actor lives up to his reputation as a darn nice guy: On Friday, days before Christmas, Hanks surprised\u00a0customers at an In-N-Out Burger in Fontana, California and\u00a0then bought lunch\u00a0for\u00a0several customers waiting in the drive-thru,\u00a0as seen in\u00a0a Facebook\u00a0video<\/a>\u00a0posted by fan\u00a0Renee Chavez<\/strong>. The actor\u00a0dined inside\u00a0the restaurant with his wife, actress\u00a0Rita Wilson<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Another fan, Meghan<\/strong>, posted on Instagram<\/a> a couple of photos showing Hanks and Wilson eating burgers at the branch, and the actor chatting with an employee at the counter and taking a selfie with a customer.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

“Tom sighed\u00a0In-N-Out hats and took pictures with everyone,”\u00a0she\u00a0told E! News.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

“He was genuinely nice, laughing, talking with everyone and taking selfies!” she added. “He wished us a Merry Christmas on his way out.”<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Hanks and Wilson’s surprise appearance was particularly exciting for residents as Fontana, 50 miles east of\u00a0Los Angeles and\u00a0on the way to popular\u00a0vacation spots such as Palm Springs and Joshua Tree National Park, is not frequented regularly by celebrities.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
