At first, &#8220;they looked pretty good,&#8221; she remembers. But, once the swelling started to fade, so too did Paula&#8217;s implants. \u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-2\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"62.5\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"15\">\n<p>&#8220;The implants sat sort of in the middle of my chest,&#8221; Paula tells the camera. &#8220;And then, the skin hung off the sides. T<span>he implants just sort of looked like they were plopped.&#8221;<\/span>\u00a0And, even though she returned for several repeat surgeries, none were able to remedy the initial damage \u2014 especially to her right breast. &#8220;Over a three-year time span, I had the original surgery and four revisions,&#8221; she says. &#8220;So, five surgeries.
