A masked Ariana Grande<\/a><\/strong> reunited with one of her exes\u00a0the day she declared that she would probably not date anyone for the rest of this year…or her life.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old pop star was photographed walking with\u00a0Ricky Alvarez<\/strong> in New York City on Tuesday, New Year’s Day. She wore\u00a0a hooded puffer jacket, a skirt or dress underneath, and thigh-high boots, paired with a black mask covering her nose and mouth.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0exes had dated for about a year<\/a> until summer 2016. They sparked rumors of a reconciliation last month after Grande commented and complimented the dancer on an Instagram photo<\/a>. She later wrote, “We’re friends everyone take a big ol breather.”<\/p>\n

Alvarez is one of several ex-boyfriends Grande mentions on her breakup song “Thank U, Next.”<\/p>\n

Her latest ex, cast member and former fianc\u00e9 Pete Davidson<\/a><\/strong>, is also mentioned on the track, which was\u00a0released in November just minutes before he appeared in a live taping\u00a0of his show\u00a0Saturday Night Live<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

The two broke up in October following a whirlwind summer romance. On New Year’s Day, a\u00a0Grande\u00a0came across a fan’s post with the\u00a0headline: “Who Is Ariana Dating NOW?! She tweeted, “Can they tell me too?”<\/p>\n

“Spoiler: for the rest of this year\/probably my life: It’s no one<\/a>,” she continued.\u00a0“Please refer back to this tweet for future questions.”<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Meanwhile, on\u00a0New Year’s Eve, Davidson, who left social media last month<\/a>\u00a0following a seemingly suicidal Instagram note, broke his silence about\u00a0“Thank U, Next”<\/a>\u00a0on\u00a0New Year’s Eve.<\/p>\n

“That s–t came out before I had to put on a f–king duck hat and be like, ‘derrrp here’s the pizza!'”\u00a0the comic said onstage\u00a0at a comedy show. “So all my friends were there. It was a sad day. We didn’t know it was going to happen.”<\/p>\n

“This won’t be easy, this is rough,” he continued. “So I start playing it. And we’re all like, ‘Ehhh\u2026 it’s ok.’ We’re like ‘Okay, it’s not that bad for you.”<\/p>\n

After “Thank U, Next” was released, a fan joked on Twitter that two of Grande’s exes might be surprised to hear their names dropped.\u00a0She\u00a0responded, “They heard it before it came out.”<\/a><\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
