Are you ready for…a new Taylor Swift<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0album?<\/p>\n

As the superstar singer bids farewell<\/a>\u00a0to her reputation<\/em> era, she continues to tease her “next chapter<\/a>.” When T.Swift took the stage at\u00a0October’s 2018 AMAs, where she won multiple awards, the “End Game” artist\u00a0gave fans hope for what’s to come.<\/p>\n

“I always look at albums as chapters in my life. And I’m so\u2014to the fans, I’m so happy that you like this one,” Swift said of her reputatio<\/em>n era. “I’m so happy that this means that you like this one. But I have to be really honest with you about something, I’m even more excited about the next chapter.”<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Since that time, fans have been paying extra close attention to Swift, hoping to find some TS7<\/em> clues. Some Swifties even think the singer dropped a major clue with her New Year’s Eve outfit.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Earlier this week, Swift hosted a star-studded New Year’s Eve bash<\/a> at her place in New York City. Guests at the party included Gigi Hadid<\/a><\/strong>, Blake Lively<\/a><\/strong> and Ryan Renyolds<\/strong>. For the occasion, Swift told her Instagram followers, the group decided to dress up as their childhood heroes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Mary Poppins, Audrey, Ariel, Ms. Frizzle, Cinderella, Gwen, Mr. Toad, Avril, Nancy Drew, Posh Spice, Rizzo, Frida Kahlo, Steve Irwin, Dorothy.. This new year we decided to dress up as our childhood heroes,” Swift, who dressed as Ariel from The Little Mermaid<\/em>, wrote to her fans.\u00a0“Sending you all love and hope going into 2019.”<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Though Swift’s post seemed innocent, many fans believe her costume was a hint at TS7<\/em>‘s theme: mermaids.<\/p>\n

One savvy\u00a0social media user, who spotted Swift wearing mermaids on multiple occasions during her reputation era,\u00a0 tweeted<\/a> this week, “IS !!! TAYLOR?!! ALREADY??? GIVING US ??!!! TS7 CLUES?!! OMFG THE MERMAIDS IS TS7 THEME IM-????”<\/p>\n

Most notably, Swift appears to be wearing a shirt with mermaids on it at the end of her reputation<\/em>\u00a0concert movie<\/a>, released this week. In the final scene of the film<\/a>\u00a0we see\u00a0a smiling Swift happily skipping away…into her next era, perhaps?<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
