So many things wrong with this ad,&#8221; she proclaimed on Instagram Stories. &#8220;1. You can be &#8216;pretty&#8217; at any weight.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Demi continued, &#8220;This is absolutely harmful to anyone who is easily influenced by societal pressures put on us from the diet culture to constantly be losing weight in a world that teaches us to equate our value and worth with the way we look and especially anyone in recovery from an eating disorder.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-2\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"57.835227272727\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"6.9204545454545\">\n<p>E! News has reached out to Instagram for comment.<\/p>\n<p>A rep for the company told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2019\/01\/04\/demi-lovato-fat-shaming-ads-instagram-feed\/\" target=\"_blank\">TMZ<\/a> that the ad has since been removed. &#8220;We&#8217;re sorry. This ad was approved by mistake,&#8221; their statement read. &#8220;We reviewed it again and removed it from future delivery in people&#8217;s feeds.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"photo-txt-3\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"35.970543806647\">\n<div class=\"column post-content__image--left post-content__image\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image--full\" src=\"https:\/\/akns-images.eonline.com\/eol_images\/Entire_Site\/201904\/rs_634x1024-190104123258-634-demi-lovato-mv-12418.jpg?fit=inside|900:auto&amp;output-quality=90\" title=\"Demi Lovato\" alt=\"Demi Lovato\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"image__credits\">Instagram<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-photo-text\" readability=\"14.378834355828\">\n<p>It&#8217;s the answer Demi likely wanted to hear after voicing her concerns on Instagram Stories and Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Please Instagram, keep this bulls&#8211;t off mine and other&#8217;s feeds who could be easily effected by this disgusting advertisement,&#8221; she pleaded. &#8220;With how aware people are becoming of mental health and mental illnesses, I expect you guys to know better by allowing this advertisement to be allowed on your app. And shame on the game.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Demi has been open about her struggles with body image and eating disorders. But the singer and body positivity advocate has also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/925735\/demi-lovato-showcases-her-cellulite-and-stretch-marks-i-still-love-myself\" target=\"_blank\">shared pictures of her body<\/a> in hopes of inspiring women to feel good about themselves.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-4\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"59.013409961686\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"11.609195402299\">\n<p>&#8220;I was on Instagram and I started comparing myself to these Instagram models and I just thought to myself, someone needs to show my fans and anybody that&#8217;s looking at my account that what you see isn&#8217;t always what&#8217;s real,&#8221; Demi <a target=\"_blank\">previously shared<\/a> with E!
