On Friday, it was\u00a0reported that Braxton owes\u00a0nearly half a million dollars in back taxes. Court records obtained by E! News show that last month, the Internal Revenue Service filed\u00a0a\u00a0lien against her, for more than $340,200\u00a0in back taxes for 2017, and that\u00a0the State of California Franchise Tax Board also filed a tax lien against her for over $116,100. The total is more than\u00a0$456,400.<\/p>\n<p>Braxton has not commented.<\/p>\n<p>In 2017,\u00a0she completed her\u00a0The Hits Tour and continued starring on the WE\u00a0tv\u00a0reality show <em>Braxton Family Values<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"text-2\" data-hook=\"scrollable-block\" readability=\"59.757352941176\">\n<section data-textblock-tracking=\"text-block-text-only\" data-swiftype-index=\"false\" readability=\"15.176470588235\">\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/theblast.com\/toni-braxton-new-tax-lien\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Blast<\/a><\/em>, which first reported the\u00a0debt news, also said\u00a0that both the IRS and the State of California had also filed back tax liens against the singer last year for more than $780,800, citing court records.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Braxton\u00a0filed for bankruptcy in 1998 and 2010, according to court records obtained by E! News.\u00a0That latter year,\u00a0she reported $1.6 million in assets and $18.3 million in debts,\u00a0the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.wsj.com\/bankruptcy\/2011\/08\/30\/toni-braxton-scores-bankruptcy-victory\/\" target=\"_blank\">Wall Street Journal<\/a><\/em> reported in 2011.
