Susan Boyle<\/a><\/strong> made the comeback of a lifetime during tonight’s premiere of America’s Got Talent: The Champions<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Scottish singer, who rose to international fame with her second-place finish on Season 3 of\u00a0Britain’s Got Talent<\/em>, returned to the competition stage for the first time in nine years\u2014and it was nothing short of awe-inspiring.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Boyle, 57, chose to perform “Wild Horses,” the same song she sang during her first-ever\u00a0America’s Got Talent<\/em> appearance in 2009. Judges\u00a0Simon Cowell<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Howie Mandel\u00a0<\/strong>and Heidi Klum<\/a><\/strong> all applauded Boyle’s performance, but it was\u00a0Mel B<\/a><\/strong> who ultimately\u00a0pressed the coveted “Golden Buzzer” on her behalf.<\/p>\n

“I just want to say what an absolute honor and pleasure it is to be sitting here and listening to you. Your angelic voice and I want to be the woman who gives you something you deserve,” Mel B gushed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Following a standing ovation, Cowell told Boyle,\u00a0“I can’t think of any other contestant who has defined this show better than if I’m being honest with you. You’re the one, you made a huge difference in a lot of people’s lives. I’m absolutely thrilled you’re here.”<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Hosted by\u00a0Brooklyn Nine-Nine<\/em>\u00a0star\u00a0Terry Crews<\/a><\/strong>, this new edition of\u00a0AGT<\/em>\u00a0takes winners, finalists, runners-up, semi-finalists and contestants from across the globe and puts them in competition with each other for the first time. Competitors include\u00a0Jackie Evancho<\/strong>,\u00a0Kechi<\/strong>,\u00a0The Professional Regurgitator<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Light Balance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
