Today, the Directors Guild of America announced the nominees for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film and Outstanding Directorial Achievement of a First-Time Feature Film Director in 2018. The highly selective nominations list includes a double mention for Bradley Cooper<\/a><\/strong>, who made his directorial debut with the Warner Bros.’ drama A Star Is Born<\/em>.<\/p>\n

First Man<\/em>‘s Damien Chazelle<\/strong>, Crazy Rich Asians<\/em>‘ Jon M. Chu<\/strong>, Black Panther<\/em>‘s Ryan Coogler<\/strong>, If Beale Street Could Talk<\/em>‘s Barry Jenkins<\/strong>, A Quiet Place<\/em>‘s John Krasinski<\/a><\/strong>, The Favourite<\/em>‘s Yorgos Lanthimos<\/strong> and Mary Poppins Returns<\/em>‘ Rob Marshall<\/strong> were snubbed by the guild. Not a single woman was nominated, and last year, Lady Bird<\/em>‘s Greta Gerwig<\/strong> was the lone female contender.<\/p>\n

Winners will be revealed Feb. 2 at the DGA Awards ceremony.<\/p>\n
