Following the conclusion of Lifetime’s docu-series<\/a> on\u00a0R. Kelly<\/strong>, an investigation has reportedly been launched into the allegations against the 52-year-old singer.<\/p>\n

According to TMZ<\/a>, allegations made in the\u00a0Surviving R. Kelly<\/em> docu-series caused\u00a0Georgia’s\u00a0Fulton County District Attorney’s Office to launch an investigation. The site reports that investigators “have been reaching out to several survivors” that were featured in\u00a0the Lifetime program.<\/p>\n

Sources involved with the investigation tell The Blast<\/a> that officials have been “combing through” the docu-series, which featured interviews with alleged R. Kelly abuse victims, since it aired. The outlet also reports<\/a> that\u00a0the Fulton County District Attorney has been “actively investigating” R. Kelly as well as a home he owned in Georgia, which was featured in the docu-series.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Gerald Griggs<\/strong>, an Atlanta attorney who represents the family of Jocelyn Savage<\/strong>, profiled in the docu-series, spoke out about the investigation.<\/p>\n

In a statement to Atlanta’s FOX 5 News<\/a>, Griggs said, “In the past few days, very senior members of the DA’s office have contacted Griggs regarding witness information in the case.”<\/p>\n

In response to the investigation reports,\u00a0R. Kelly’s rep\u00a0tells E! News, “No comment.”<\/p>\n

R. Kelly has consistently denied any allegations of abuse or misconduct.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
