It’s almost time for the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards<\/a><\/strong>!<\/p>\n

That’s right! Television and film’s biggest stars will gather at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif. on Jan. 13 to celebrate the work of their peers.<\/p>\n

As far as movies go, The Favourite<\/em>\u00a0is the current frontrunner. The Fox Searchlight Pictures’ production leads in the film categories with 14 nominations. However, it has some tough competition. Black Panther<\/em> follows closely behind with 12 nods and First Man<\/em> has 10. Mary Poppins Returns<\/em>, A Star Is Born<\/em> and Vice<\/em> are also top contenders with nine nominations each.<\/p>\n

As for TV, The Americans<\/em>, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story<\/em> and Escape at Dannemora<\/em>\u00a0lead the pack with five nominations each. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel<\/em> and Sharp Objects<\/em> are also top competitors with four nods each.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Of course, it will ultimately be up to The Broadcast Film Critics Association and The Broadcast Television Journalists Association to decide who takes home the trophies. Although, Claire Foy<\/a><\/strong> has already been\u00a0named the winner of the 2019 #SeeHer Award.<\/p>\n

Taye Diggs<\/a><\/strong> will\u00a0host<\/a> this year’s show, and stars like Kristen Bell<\/a><\/strong>, Viola Davis<\/a><\/strong>, Awkwafina<\/a><\/strong>, Jim Parsons<\/a><\/strong>, Kaley<\/strong> Cuoco<\/strong>, Nicole<\/strong> Kidman<\/strong>, Ben<\/strong> Stiller<\/strong>, Mandy<\/strong> Moore<\/strong> and Cole<\/strong> Sprouse<\/strong> will present the awards. So, fans won’t want to miss a minute.<\/p>\n
