Tonight’s the night…the actors have spoken!<\/p>\n

Unlike the award shows that have come before them, and the ones that will happen next, the Screen Actors Guild Awards<\/a> is all<\/em> about the actors.<\/p>\n

We know that all awards shows are about the celebrities or the talent, but the SAG Awards are awarded by<\/em> the actors themselves<\/a> to their peers, so there’s a whole different level of prestige when winning one of these trophies.<\/p>\n

Later this evening, actors from both film and television will\u00a0arrive at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles to celebrate one another at the 2019 SAG Awards (airing on TNT and TBS at 8 p.m. ET\/5 p.m. PT) and it’s going to be a big show.<\/p>\n

This year marks the second year that the show will have a host with Megan Mullally<\/strong> taking over hosting duties<\/a> from 2018’s leader Kristen Bell<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

The Will & Grace<\/em> star will take the stage to run the show, but she won’t be the only one having a good time.<\/p>\n

Nominees like Bradley Cooper<\/a><\/strong> for A Star Is Born<\/em>, Christian Bale<\/a><\/strong> for Vice<\/em> and Golden Globes and\u00a0Critics’ Choice Awards winner<\/a> Glenn Close<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0for The Wife<\/em>\u00a0will all be in attendance, which means the night is going to be full of stars.<\/p>\n

This year the award show will also be celebrating 25 years and even though it’s one of the younger award shows, the SAG Awards draws a lot of big names and it is a huge honor to win an award voted on by your peers.<\/p>\n

In a few short hours the show will begin and actors including, Sandra Oh<\/a><\/strong>, Antonio Banderas<\/a><\/strong> and\u00a0Rachel Brosnahan<\/a><\/strong> could be taking the stage to accept an award.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

While we don’t know who will win just yet, we do know that director Alan Alda<\/strong> has been named the 55th recipient<\/a> of the SAG Life Achievement Award.<\/p>\n

Plus, Crazy Rich Asians<\/em> star Harry Shum Jr.<\/strong> was dubbed the award show’s ambassador<\/a>.<\/p>\n
