Known-to-be-<\/a>single<\/a> hottie Zac Efron<\/a><\/strong> just started following known-to-be-single<\/a> hottie Selena Gomez<\/a><\/strong>on Instagram<\/a>. Fans captured screenshots of the moment, with one person posting the image alongside a still from Efron’s 2010 movie\u00a0Charlie St. Cloud<\/em>, with Gomez photoshopped in it.<\/p>\n

So…you\u00a0know what that means, right? An internal debate:<\/p>\n

It means they’re now Instagram friends, so they’re practically engaged<\/em>.<\/p>\n

No, let’s not go too far. For one thing, Gomez isn’t following Efron back. Yet.<\/p>\n

Fine. It means Zac Efron is interested in Selena Gomez’s life. And\u00a0photos.<\/em><\/p>\n

Good.<\/p>\n

And in possibly DMing her.<\/em><\/p>\n

Yeah…maybe.<\/p>\n

And\u00a0marrying her<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Sigh.<\/p>\n

But he’s definitely thirsty<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Certainly seems like it.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

Efron, who rose to fame with\u00a0High School Musical<\/em>,\u00a0and Gomez, who starred on the Disney Channel series\u00a0Wizards of Waverley Place<\/em>\u00a0have never been photographed together by the press. But\u00a0in 2015, Efron joined Gomez<\/a>, then-rumored boyfriend\u00a0Zedd<\/strong> and other friends for a night out in Atlanta.<\/p>\n

Efron and Gomez have\u00a0worked together, kind of; Gomez\u00a0played a sorority president in the 2016 comedy sequel\u00a0Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising<\/em>, which saw Efron reprise his role of\u00a0a fraternity president.<\/p>\n

“She’s awesome,” he told ET<\/em> at the time about Gomez. “She’s super talented.”<\/p>\n

He\u00a0then burst out laughing\u00a0when main star Seth Rogen<\/a><\/strong> described\u00a0the actress and singer as “tiny.”<\/p>\n

Over the past few years, Gomez\u00a0has\u00a0largely stayed away from social media and the spotlight as she combated\u00a0health issues. Last year, she underwent a widely publicized breakup with on-again, off-again beau\u00a0Justin Bieber<\/a><\/strong>, who then soon\u00a0stepped out with\u00a0Hailey Baldwin<\/a><\/strong> and then proposed to and\u00a0married<\/a>\u00a0her.<\/p>\n

“I’m not on the internet,” Gomez told\u00a0ELLE<\/a><\/em>\u00a0in comments posted last September. “I haven’t been on the internet in months<\/a>. I don’t have my password for Instagram. I have no apps on my phone, no photo editing apps. I have\u00a0Peak<\/em>, a brain game.”<\/p>\n

Maybe Gomez will return to Instagram just this one, and take a peek at her studly new follower.<\/p>\n
